True or false? Relevant or irrelevant? What sources can I use when writing my student thesis?

There are many questions when it comes to evaluating sources and you have to be thorough. Usually, there's no problem to find information - but finding correct and relevant sources is sometimes tricky. When you're going through your retrieved material you should always ask yourself::

• Who? Who is the author? Can you find information concerning his or her qualifications and background?
• What? Is it possible to verify the information in an independent source? Are there any references so you can reach the primary source?
• Why? What is the purpose of the text? Does the source provide facts or just opinions? 
• When? When was th etext/information written? Was th ewebpage recently updated?
